Brent Rollins

Breakout power forward for the Clippers, yes the other LA team, Blake Griffin took the dunk top honors over the weekend. That much we do know. Last Thursday just in time for All Star Weekend, we had an amazing illustration mounted for the latest incarnation of the Billboard Project featuring said human canonball. What's truly interesting is that we allowed the featured artist, Jacob Weinstein carte blanche to create any graphic he wanted. It's amazing how things just seem to fall right into place...

Officially Obsessed

OK call it late train or stand off attitude, perhaps even both but holy shit. This movie is all out amazing. I saw the trailer and basically thought "Oh great, Rocky 9". WRONG! I knew Bale has been a solid actor and Marky has had his gems. You ever see The Departed? So anyways every homie that has seen this movie went batshit so I figured ok, fine. Saw it last night in the best theater in the nation (Arclight <3) in the best seat in the house (empty back row, center <3). Went straight home after and marathoned 2 hours of youtube on Dicky Eklund and his younger brother Micky Ward. The Fighter is a true man's man type of movie. Heat, Godfather, Full Metal Jacket, Bronx Tale...ok you get it.

Inspiration INDEED

The divide between early Hardcore and Hip Hop was next to nothing if that at all. Back then you basically listened to both, at least as a skater. Of course jocks had their side and PR dudes had theirs. That's the beauty of knowing about launch ramps and kickflips. Anything goes.

Root Hub at Feal Mor

This last Saturday the 5th, long time La Brea local and retail family supporter JP Pluniers hosted the album release of Root Hub at his new boutique Feal Mor. An endeavor that can be best described as a personal collection of unique articles of integrity and history sold along with his already notable clothing brand baring the same name. Root Hub, to the letter embodies the very same notes of passionate authenticity. A sound that combines the indigenous heart of Hawaii island life and folk musings of sunset Malibu bonfire circles. The pairing of these two like minded entities made for a memorable setting and live performance.

GAME TIME!

If you're in LV next week for the Tradeshows or a supporting local, please be sure to attend our upcoming event with Puma and musical guest N.E.R.D.

TIP: Bringing your GF to see Pharrell perform on Valentines Day may be the one move that puts you over the top. It's a free show and she does not need to know that part. You'll just roll up and be on the list plus 1. Like-A-Boss.

And have you ever heard a Jus Ske set? Bro...

It's sure to be a great time and turn out. RSVP now and roll earls.
