75 CENTS ON THE DOLLAR
ALL POINTS BULLETIN
Few weeks back a bike stolen during a Spin Move event. After some e-effort the bike made it's way back to the rightful owner. But now we have 2 other bikes to find.
I just got this email the other day:
Hi,
My name is Surg, my bike is one of the two additional bikes that where stolen at The Monteblan on July 15. First of I'd like to apologize for my friends actions. Taking something that is not yours is never the right or smart thing to do, even if someone took something from you. Two wrongs definitely don't make a right. Also, I really appreciate what you guys are doing to help me and my friend. Trust me, we really appreciate it.
I've attached a picture of my bike. It is a 54cm White/Blue Schwinn Tempo with Velocity Deep V Rims. Its not much, but I have invested a lot of time and money on it and would really appreciate it if I could get it back. My buddy unfortunately doesn't have a picture of his, but it was a black on black 52cm Specialized Langster with Velocity Deep V Wheels. I know there are many of these bike out there, but he had his painted completely black but left the specialized "S" (in White) on the front.
Once again I can't thank you enough for trying to help us out. We really enjoyed the events you guys put together, and were happy to be a part of it. Thank you.
Surg

So again, if you come out to ride then ride. Steal from the community? C'mon...
Don't be that guy.
We all work hard daily to earn the rides we want. Just return the 2 bikes to the theater and all is well with no problems. Done.

SPIN MOVE VOL. 6
Tour De France 2009
While in London and Paris with the CTRS crew I was not ready for an overseas tonsil and ear infection combo. No doctor visits meant creating freestyle cure potions with regular counter meds. Spending a good amount of time knocked out trying to recover. It is what it is.

No internet on the road either? Not good for updates.

TDF STAGE 14 & 15
Stage 14 - July 18th - 199km [123m]
Saturday's race came along the Swiss border starting in Colmar and ending in the southwest in Besancon.
34 year old Serguei Ivanov of Russia took the day with a final time of 4h, 37m, 46s.
Moving forward to today's race.
Stage 15 - July 19th - 207km [128m]
Today's race was the 3 longest stage of the tour and classified under, High Mountain. The morning started in Pontarlier and ended at Verbier in Switzerland.
Armstrong's team mate of Astana, Alberto Contador of Spain scaled a peak finish at 5h, 03m, 58s. It was his second win of this years tour.

In current overall standings Contador is now the new leader after riding a total of 2581km. And rising up from 4th place to 2nd is Lance Armstrong. He's 1m, 37s behind.
Tomorrow the 20th, marks the second and final rest day of the Tour. The stakes are rising as there are only 6 more stages and 162 riders left.
UNDFTD Team Blog coverage of TDF will be reported from the road as the CTRS crew congregates in London and rides towards the English Channel. The peloton continues in from the shores of France into Paris to witness the end final stage.

AND THE WINNER IS....
KARMA IS REAL.
Prime example of positivity.
Oscar, your bike has been returned.
Turns out the thief had a change of heart and decided to secretly bring the bike back to the Montalban along with this note:
"The only reason I took the bike is because my bike and my boy's bike got stolen that day, too. I am not that much of a dick. So, I am giving it back. Hopefully my bike will get returned, too."
We're all glad you were able to make the right decision in returning the bike.
In return, we can help in two ways:
1. Send the word and pics out to the community in getting the two bikes back.
2. Work up a fund raiser to get you guys back on the road.
Let us know how we can help and thanks again for doing it the right way.
Send images and descriptions of the missing bikes direct to me at:

TDF STAGE 13
Stage 13 - July 17th - 200km [124m]
Lucky number 13. This course is considered a Medium Mountain route. It continued on early this day in Vittel and headed east into Colmar.
Jersey rider number 5, Hienrich Haussler of Germany took the podium for the Yellow. At 25 years of age he represents the younger set of combatives to enter the Tour. His final time ended at 4h, 56m, 26s. Considering the amount elevation and the rain this time is still incredibly fast.
Armstong's teammate, Levi Leipheimer withdrew from the race with a broken wrist from a crash he was involved in the day prior. Levi was in 4th place overall for time. This loss could potentially play a role in the team strategy for Armstrong's capture of this year's TDF. Drama!

TDF STAGE 12
Stage 12 - July 16th - 211km [131m]
The day's race is a Plain course set through Tonnerre ending in Vittel in the east.
34 year old, Nicki Sorensen of Denmark took the yellow with a time of 4h, 52m, 24s.
This IS the face of the term "way psyched!"
Despite a flat tire and finishing 16th during this stage, Lance still maintains his 3rd place overall standing.
Go L.A.!
THERE'S ALWAYS A JERKOFF SOMEWHERE IN THE MIX....
Last night at Spin Move 4 after a fun ride and while everyone was inside having a great time, some one stole this bike...
It's a Fuji Track Pro. There's a mob out there looking and the security tapes at the Theater are being reviewed.
If you spot this bike contact: bikeboi87@gmail.com
In the meantime, plans for a fundraiser are in the works.
My thing is, if you like to ride bikes and you came to the event to ride along with the local community, why would you want to steal from it? That's pretty soft.
There's a bounty on your head and the guy that owns the bike is kinda huge, kinda pissed.
Or.
Just return the bike to any staff member at the Montalban. Done.
TDF STAGE 11
Stage 11 - July 11th - 192km [119m]
Continuing on with the a series of flat Plain stages todays route embarks from Vatan and ended to the northeast in Saint-Fargeau.
Mark Cavendish of GBR, takes his 4th first place podium and yellow jersey. He also regained the green jersey representing the leader in points. His final time was 4h, 17, 55s. This guy is a beast.

SPIN MOVE VOL. 4 - RIDE AND RAFFLE DRAWING
TDF STAGES 8 & 9
Stage 8 - July 11th - 176km [111m]
On Saturday's race the journey took the rider on another High Mountain course which started in Andorre-la-Vieille in Andorre back up into France ending in Saint Girons.
26 year old, Luis Leon Sanchez of Spain won on Saturday with a time of 4h, 31m, 50s.
[Those amazing classical music scored stage montages were clipped, so we have these more inclusive segments by TDF instead]
Moving on to Sunday...
Stage 9 - July - 160km [99m]
The final day of a 3 day High Mountain stage started in Saint-Gaudens which ended in Tarbes.
31 year old, Pierrick Fedrigo of France was the first to exit the Pyrenees, with a time of 4h, 5m, 31s.
Having rode 9 days straight with a total distance of 634 kilometers or 394 miles, Monday marks the first of only 2 rest days. The second rest day is on July 20th.
On Tuesday the 14th, the race will resume going into 3 consecutive, Plain stages.
The current overall standings have Rinaldo Nocentini still holding his 1st place standing with 2007 TDF winner Alberto Contador in 2nd and his Astana team mate, Lance Armstrong in 3rd. Lance is only 8 seconds behind the leader, so it's still very much an open race. With 12 days left it can go in any direction.
Go L.A.!

TDF STAGE 7
Stage 7 - July 10th - 224km [139m]
Today's race marks the the first of a series 3 consecutive High Mountain stages. And of course it being the first High Mountain, just for giggles the institution also made the longest stage of the Tour. It started in Barcelona and ended in Andorre Arcalis.
23 year old Brice Feillu of France won the stage with a grueling time of 6h, 11m, 31s.

Currently Lance slipped down to 3rd place overall. 3rd place by literally only 8 seconds.

See you in the bike lane.
And they're off!
While most of us here on the 4th we were attending BBQ's and pool parties, masses flocked to Monaco for the beginning of the 96th Tour de France. The race covers a total of 2,200 miles over a course of 23 days. The race is broken up into "stages". Each stage is hosted in different towns and cites through out France and parts of Monaco, Spain, Italy, Andorra and Switzerland. In total, there are 21 stages and are of several varieties. There are Plain, which overall is a flat course. Individual Time Trial, where solo riders race over shorter distances for time. High Mountains, which cover the country side and of course mountains. Steep ones. And finally, Team Time Trials.
There are 20 teams out of a total of 180 riders
It is of course the Yellow jersey or maillot jaune, that is most coveted. Each stage winner is awarded a yellow jersey but it's the overall time calculated at the end of July that will determine exactly who the 2009 TDF winner will be.
Stage 1 - July 4th - 15.5 km [9.6m]
The first chapter is an individual time trial through the streets of Monaco.
Won by 28 year old, Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland with a time of 19:32.
USA's Lance Armstrong, jersey #22, came in at 10th with a time of 20:12. [It's only the beginning folks]
Stage 2 - July 5th - 187 km [116.2m]
A plain course starting in Brignoles ending in Monaco.
Won by 24 year old, Mark Cavendish of Great Britain with a time of 4h 30 min 2 sec.
Mr. Armstrong came in at a respectful 19th place out of the 179 remaining racers.
Stage 3 - July 6th - 196.5 km [121.7m]
A plain course starting in La Grande-Motte and ends in Marseille
Mark Cavendish wins his second stage at a time of 5h, 1m, 24 s.
Stage 4 - July 7th - 39k [24.2m]
The first team time trial course which starts/stops in Montpellier.
Lance Armstrong and his crew of Team Astana took the W. Yes! They beat out the rest with a time of 46m, 29s.
As of now in total time, Lance holds the second place behind Cancellara with a covered total distance of 438k. That's 272 miles. These men are insane.
For in depth coverage do what I did and visit TDF.
