Tour De France 2009

While in London and Paris with the CTRS crew I was not ready for an overseas tonsil and ear infection combo. No doctor visits meant creating freestyle cure potions with regular counter meds. Spending a good amount of time knocked out trying to recover. It is what it is.

TDF STAGE 14 & 15

Stage 14 - July 18th - 199km [123m]
Saturday's race came along the Swiss border starting in Colmar and ending in the southwest in Besancon.

34 year old Serguei Ivanov of Russia took the day with a final time of 4h, 37m, 46s.

Moving forward to today's race.

Stage 15 - July 19th - 207km [128m]
Today's race was the 3 longest stage of the tour and classified under, High Mountain. The morning started in Pontarlier and ended at Verbier in Switzerland.

Armstrong's team mate of Astana, Alberto Contador of Spain scaled a peak finish at 5h, 03m, 58s. It was his second win of this years tour.

In current overall standings Contador is now the new leader after riding a total of 2581km. And rising up from 4th place to 2nd is Lance Armstrong. He's 1m, 37s behind.

Tomorrow the 20th, marks the second and final rest day of the Tour. The stakes are rising as there are only 6 more stages and 162 riders left.


UNDFTD Team Blog coverage of TDF will be reported from the road as the CTRS crew congregates in London and rides towards the English Channel. The peloton continues in from the shores of France into Paris to witness the end final stage.
